About this fabric

Catalogued as a Fabric from Swaffer's Print collection, this colourway presents an abundant floral arrangement of peonies, smaller blossoms and leafy stems. The large-scale motifs are softened by the restrained damson palette, where deep plum flowers sit alongside faded mauve, lavender and cream petals. Fine woven texture remains visible across the beige ground, giving the design a tactile, linen-like appearance. The overall effect is layered and quietly decorative rather than brightly saturated.

How to use it

Use Damson where a room needs warmth without strong, vivid colour: it works particularly well with natural wood, aged brass and plain textiles in oatmeal, mushroom or muted olive. The deeper plum blooms can be picked out in cushions or occasional upholstery for a more composed scheme.

Use the warm beige ground and muted damson, lilac and olive palette to bring layered colour to upholstered seating, curtains or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
