Kyowa Henna

Kyowa Fabric

Kyowa Henna combines a warm henna-brown field with pale cream, muted olive and ochre marks. Its irregular, painterly pattern is softened by the fabric’s fine crosshatched texture and naturally fluid folds.

About this fabric

The design is formed from broad, broken brushstroke shapes, with cream and warm taupe areas interrupting the deeper henna tones. Mustard ochre and subdued olive accents add small flashes of colour without making the overall cloth feel bright or saturated. A fine woven crosshatch runs across the surface, giving the pale areas a lightly weathered, tactile character. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair Kyowa Henna with chalky neutrals, warm timber and aged brass, allowing the henna-brown areas to anchor the room while the ochre details pick up smaller accents. Its flowing folds also make it effective where a relaxed, layered textile effect is wanted.

Use the warm henna ground with cream and ochre accents to bring layered colour to relaxed upholstery or softly draped window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
