About this fabric

This colourway reads as a dark, muted grey rather than a bright silver, giving it a calm, weighty presence. Its even surface appears soft and velvety, while the folded areas shift subtly between graphite-like shadow and soft grey sheen. The plain ground keeps the focus on the fabric’s tactile finish and tonal movement, with no visible motif or pattern competing for attention.

How to use it

Pair Matador Lead with warm timber, brushed metal or pale stone to balance its cool, deep grey tone. It is particularly effective on a statement sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard where the changing light can catch the surface.

Use this deep lead grey on upholstered seating where its smooth surface and subtle sheen can add quiet depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
