Sari Charcoal

Sari Fabric

Sari Charcoal presents a deep, near-black surface with a finely lined weave that becomes more visible as the fabric curves into folds. Its dark tone reads as richly shaded rather than flat, with subtle tonal movement across the swatch.

About this fabric

The image shows a closely woven fabric crossed by fine horizontal yarn lines, creating a restrained texture across the charcoal face. As the cloth gathers, the near-black colour moves between soft graphite highlights and almost-black recesses. Broad, rounded folds give the swatch a substantial, upholstery-suited appearance and bring depth to the otherwise plain surface. With no pattern competing for attention, the weave and changing light provide the design detail.

How to use it

Use Sari Charcoal on a tailored sofa, armchair or dining seat where its deep, cool charcoal tone can anchor lighter walls, timber and brushed metal. Pair it with pale boucle, warm wood or muted grey accessories to draw out the weave’s subtle tonal variation.

Use this deep charcoal weave to give tailored seating a quietly dramatic, textural finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
