About this fabric

Catalogued as a fabric, Saga Ink has a closely textured surface formed by a small, irregular crosshatch weave. Its very dark charcoal tone reads cooler and more layered than a flat black, with tiny grey flecks catching across the cloth. The draped folds show a softly malleable handle while retaining a substantial, upholstery-suitable appearance. This understated texture brings depth without introducing a separate printed motif.

How to use it

Use Saga Ink on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where its cool charcoal depth can anchor lighter walls, pale timber and brushed metal. Pair it with warm neutrals to soften the near-black tone without losing its smart character.

Use this deep ink-charcoal weave to give tailored upholstery a quiet, grounded finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
