Serena Soot

Serena Fabric

Serena Soot is a deep, near-black plain fabric with a subtle sheen that emerges across its softly gathered surface. The folds give the colour gentle tonal movement rather than a flat, solid appearance.

About this fabric

This Soot colourway reads as a softened black, with charcoal depth visible where the fabric curves and gathers. Its smooth face catches the light in restrained highlights along the folds, while recessed areas settle into almost-black shadow. The fluid drape shown in the image makes it particularly suited to curtains and other flowing window treatments. The absence of a visible motif keeps the focus on the rich tone, liquid movement and understated lustre.

How to use it

Use Serena Soot for generous full-length curtains in a dark, polished scheme, pairing its near-black tone with pale stone, warm timber or brushed metal to bring out the subtle surface sheen.

Its fluid handle and restrained sheen suit full-length curtains and other softly tailored window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
