About this fabric

The plain surface keeps the design quiet, while the close draping reveals a fluid handle and subtle light-catching sheen. Its seal-grey tone is cool, deep and restrained rather than stark black, with the gathered folds creating natural tonal variation. Broad unpatterned areas give the colour a calm, enveloping presence, while the brighter ridges prevent it from appearing flat. With no performance or composition specification supplied, its most evident qualities here are the smooth finish, soft movement and depth of colour.

How to use it

Pair Serena Seal with pale stone, chalk or warm timber to soften its deep grey tone, or layer it with charcoal furnishings for a more enveloping, tonal room scheme. Its fluid appearance is especially effective in generous curtains where the folds can create changing highlights.

Use this deep seal-grey shade for full-length curtains or relaxed drapery where its soft sheen can follow the folds of the cloth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
