About this fabric

This colourway sits between charcoal and black, giving the surface a cool, grounded depth rather than a stark flat black appearance. Its plush pile creates a softly brushed texture, while the nap catches light unevenly across the folds. Blurred grey shifts move through the surface, creating a subtle distressed effect without a defined motif. The weighty-looking texture makes Sherpa Coal particularly suited to upholstered seating and other tactile furniture applications.

How to use it

Pair Sherpa Coal with pale stone, warm timber or brushed metal to bring out its smoky grey variation. Its dark, tactile surface would work especially well on a curved sofa, occasional chair or generous upholstered headboard.

Use this deep charcoal shade on softly tailored seating where its plush, tactile surface can add depth without introducing a visible pattern.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
