Shoreham Sandytan

Shoreham Fabric

Shoreham Sandytan combines a warm sandy ground with fine tan lines that move in a gently irregular vertical rhythm. The folded swatch shows how the stripes bend and deepen across the cloth, giving the colourway subtle visual movement.

About this fabric

The fabric is built around closely spaced vertical stripes, with tan lines varying softly from straight to lightly undulating rather than forming a rigid ladder pattern. Its sand-beige ground keeps the overall impression warm and muted, while the deeper tan catches in the folds for added depth. The visible cloth drapes into a broad diagonal fold, showing the stripe's changing direction across the surface. No composition, width, rub test or performance rating is supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Shoreham Sandytan where a warm, quiet stripe is wanted: relaxed seating, cushions or full-length curtains against cream, timber and other natural sand-toned finishes. Its wavering lines can soften rooms that need vertical structure without a formal, sharply tailored effect.

The warm sand ground and gently wavering tan stripes suit relaxed upholstery, cushions or softly draped window treatments.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Shoreham Sandytan without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
