Shoreham Fabric

Shoreham Gull is a quietly patterned neutral with narrow, gently wavering stripes running across an ivory ground. In the photograph, soft taupe and warm grey lines create a cool, relaxed sense of movement.

About this fabric

The closely spaced stripes vary subtly in their undulating path, giving the surface more depth than a regular straight stripe. Soft taupe and warm grey threads sit against ivory, with the muted contrast keeping the colourway calm rather than stark. The fabric is shown gathered into loose folds, where the lines bend and overlap to reveal its fine, fluid drape. Its restrained pattern scale makes it particularly well suited to full-length curtains or relaxed Roman blinds.

How to use it

Use Shoreham Gull at windows in a pale neutral room, pairing its soft taupe and ivory tones with chalky walls, warm oak and understated upholstery. The gently shifting stripe will add movement while retaining a light, composed look.

A softly structured neutral for curtains, bringing subtle movement without strong contrast.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Shoreham Gull without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
