164 Carbon
Komodo Silk Fabric164
Komodo Silk 164 Carbon is a deep, shadowed brown-charcoal fabric with a restrained horizontal grain. Its surface appears subtly irregular, with fine tonal shifts that keep the dark colour from looking flat.

About this fabric
The close-up shows a densely fine-textured textile marked by narrow horizontal striations and occasional darker slub-like interruptions. 164 Carbon sits between charcoal and brown, reading cooler and deeper in the shadowed areas while warmer brown threads emerge across the surface. There is no printed motif; the visual interest comes entirely from the low-contrast woven texture and softly uneven line. As a fabric colourway with a fine, fluid-looking surface, it is particularly well suited to drapery where its dark tone can create depth without a strong pattern.
How to use it
Use 164 Carbon for full-length curtains in a room with warm oak, bronze or aged brass, balancing its dark brown-charcoal tone with ivory upholstery and softly coloured walls.
Use this deep carbon brown as a quietly dramatic drapery neutral, especially alongside warm timber, aged metal and soft ivory.

Pairs well with
164 Carbon is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
