55 Marble

Lewis Fabric55

Lewis 55 Marble has a cool, pale-grey ground with softly clouded shading that gives the surface the quiet depth of natural stone. Its fine woven texture catches the light subtly, shifting between silvery near-white and smoky grey.

About this fabric

The surface shows a fine, closely woven grain with diffuse tonal variation rather than a defined motif. Broad areas of pale silver-grey are interrupted by soft, smoky patches, including deeper shading towards the lower part of the photographed swatch. This restrained marble effect gives the colourway a calm, contemporary character without appearing flat. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair the cool marble grey with chalk white, pale oak and brushed metal for a light contemporary room, or use it against charcoal accents to draw out its deeper smoky tones.

Use this cool, softly mottled grey to bring quiet tonal depth to upholstery, curtains or layered neutral interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside 55 Marble without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
