Yangtze 30 Soot is a deep charcoal-grey textile with a finely ridged surface and an understated, almost graphite-like depth. Its close vertical texture gives the dark colour subtle movement rather than a flat appearance.

About this fabric

The surface is formed by narrow vertical yarn lines, with small irregular flecks that shift between charcoal, blue-grey and softer pale grey. This tonal variation allows the soot shade to catch the light gently across the weave while retaining its grounded, dark character. The fabric is catalogued as a textile suitable for upholstery based on its visibly substantial woven handle. No performance features are noted for this colourway.

How to use it

Use 30 Soot on a structured armchair, sofa or dining seat where its cool charcoal tone can anchor lighter woods, warm metals and softly coloured cushions. The subtly variegated weave is especially effective in rooms that need depth without a strong printed pattern.
