Ormonde Quartz/Architect`s White

Darnley Wallpapers WallpaperZOW0079-01

Ormonde Quartz/Architect’s White is a very pale, cool grey-white wallpaper with a fine horizontal striation visible across the surface. Its restrained tonal variation gives the ground a softly tactile, gently textured appearance rather than a flat white finish.

About this fabric

The swatch shows a quiet grey-white field built from closely spaced horizontal fibres or striations, with subtle shifts between quartz grey and near-white. There is no visible motif, and the supplied vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are both 0 cm, making the surface read as an uninterrupted texture. The specification gives a useable width of 68.6 cm and a standard length of 10.05 m. At 185 gsm, it has a defined paper weight while retaining the light, finely textured appearance seen here.

How to use it

Use this cool, lightly silvered grey-white on walls where a plain white might feel too stark; it works especially well with pale stone, soft grey upholstery and natural timber.

Pair this cool grey-white ground with chalky whites, pale timber and softly brushed metal for a calm, contemporary scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
