Mitford Damask Stone

Darnley Wallpapers WallpaperZOW0078-04

Mitford Damask Stone pairs a pale, warm stone-taupe ground with an ivory damask drawn in sweeping foliage, scrolls and a prominent central flower. The low-contrast palette gives the elaborate symmetry a softened, gently aged appearance.

About this fabric

The large-scale design is visibly arranged around a central floral rosette, with layered leaves, curling tendrils and fine botanical details extending towards the edges. Ivory ornament sits clearly against the muted taupe ground, while the close tonal relationship keeps the pattern calm rather than sharply graphic. This wallpaper has a usable width of 68.6 cm and a 101.8 cm vertical pattern repeat; the supplied horizontal repeat is 0 cm. At 179 gsm, it is supplied in a standard 10.05 m length.

How to use it

Use the warm stone tone as a quiet backdrop in a dining room, bedroom or entrance hall, pairing it with chalky ivory upholstery, aged timber and antique brass so the damask’s formal detailing feels collected rather than stark.

Use this softly contrasted stone-and-ivory damask to bring formal, timeworn elegance to dining rooms, hallways or bedrooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
