Maze Antelope

Domino Velvets VelvetZOF0117-01

Maze Antelope is a warm taupe-brown velvet with a densely packed, irregular maze design traced across its softly shaded surface. The plush pile catches the light unevenly, giving the colour gentle depth rather than a flat brown appearance.

About this fabric

This substantial velvet weighs 834gsm and has a usable width of 142.5cm, making it particularly well suited to hard-working upholstery. Fine, winding maze lines form a small-scale all-over pattern, with darker brown outlines standing out against the antelope-toned ground. The 25cm vertical and 36cm horizontal repeat keeps the design visually continuous while retaining its intricate character. Across the nap, the warm taupe shifts subtly between softer beige-brown and deeper shaded brown.

How to use it

Use Maze Antelope on a generous armchair, headboard or sofa where its warm taupe-brown tone can soften stronger timber and stone finishes. Pair it with tobacco leather, aged brass and muted cream textiles to bring out the velvet’s layered brown shading.

A weighty taupe-brown velvet whose densely drawn maze pattern brings subtle graphic texture to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Maze Antelope without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
