Ikat Spot Ink presents a deep, cool ink-blue velvet ground covered with closely spaced, softly irregular spot motifs. Bronze and taupe-toned outlines catch across the pile, giving the dark colourway a quietly variegated surface.

About this fabric

This substantial Zoffany velvet weighs 585gsm and has 100 threads per centimetre, giving the cloth a dense, plush appearance suited to upholstery. The pattern repeats every 57cm vertically and 34cm horizontally, creating a compact rhythm of dark blue oval and diamond-like spots edged in warm bronze. In the swatch, the ink ground reads almost navy in the deeper areas, while the raised pile shifts subtly as it catches the light. Its useable width is 138cm, with a standard length of 22m.

How to use it

Use this cool ink-blue colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard, where the bronze-toned spot outlines can sit alongside aged brass, walnut and warm neutral upholstery. Keep surrounding plains understated so the close pattern and velvet depth remain the focus.
