Moire Shetland

Luxury Plains FabricZOF0220-10

Moire Shetland presents a pale icy blue-grey ground with a softly shifting moiré effect. In the photograph, fine horizontal ribbing catches the light beneath translucent, watery bands that give the surface gentle depth.

About this fabric

This 321gsm Zoffany fabric has a dense, finely ridged appearance, with the 100 threads-per-centimetre construction visible as closely spaced lines across the swatch. Its cool blue-grey tone reads airy and restrained rather than strongly saturated, while the irregular moiré shadows add movement without introducing a formal repeat. The 141cm usable width makes it practical for both upholstered pieces and full-length curtains. With a 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, the flowing surface can be positioned without matching a recurring motif.

How to use it

Use this pale, cool blue-grey on a reading chair, headboard or relaxed curtain to bring a quiet watery sheen into the room. It pairs naturally with chalky whites, silvered woods and deeper slate accents, which draw out the swatch’s delicate tonal depth.

A cool, quietly lustrous blue-grey moiré with enough substance for upholstery and enough refinement for drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
