Lansdowne Carnival

Holland Park Fabric

Lansdowne Carnival combines deep navy grounds with vivid rust, warm cream and burgundy shapes in a strongly textured woven design. The repeated stepped forms create a dramatic, almost painterly rhythm across the folded swatch.

About this fabric

This colourway is built around a dark blue-black and navy ground, interrupted by sharp vertical and zigzagged blocks of rust orange, ivory cream, muted olive and wine burgundy. Its dense, visibly textured weave gives the pattern depth, with the raised-looking chevron marks catching the light differently across each fold. The large-scale abstract motif reads as graphic and architectural rather than delicate, making it especially effective on a statement chair, headboard or occasional sofa. No composition, width or rub-test figures have been supplied, and no performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Lansdowne Carnival to bring warmth and contrast to a room built around dark timber, charcoal or navy furnishings. Pick out the rust and cream accents with plain cushions or piping, while keeping surrounding patterns quieter so the jagged woven motif remains the focus.

A richly coloured, graphic woven suited to statement upholstery and furniture with a confident modern character.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
