About this fabric

The colour sits between soft white and pale cream, giving the fabric a warmer, more tactile presence than a crisp optic white. Its close, nubby bouclé texture is clearly visible across the broad folded surfaces, while the raised edges catch the light in a subtle ivory highlight. The substantial-looking cloth is shown in generous, rounded folds that emphasise its suitability for upholstered, sculptural forms. As part of Zinc Textile’s Tres Boucle collection, this colourway has a quiet, enveloping quality rather than a sharp or highly contrasting finish.

How to use it

Pair Benjamin Chalk with warm plaster, pale timber and muted clay tones to bring out its creamy warmth. It would work particularly well on a curved lounge chair, enveloping sofa or softly shaped headboard where the thick bouclé texture can remain visible.

Use this thick chalk-white bouclé on sculptural seating where its nubby surface and rounded folds can be appreciated.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
