Benezet Colour 1
Avignon FabricBENEZETCOL1
Benezet Colour 1 brings a warm crimson-red ground to the Avignon collection, patterned with repeating blue, green and pale ivory botanical forms. The subtly crosshatched surface gives the colourway a softly textured, textile-led finish.

About this fabric
The rich red ground is enlivened by stylised tulip-like motifs in clear blue, olive and fresh green, with pale ivory teardrop shapes adding contrast. Larger botanical emblems alternate with smaller floral sprigs, creating a regular medium-scale repeat across the cloth. Fine horizontal and vertical slubs remain visible through the colour, giving the surface a gently irregular woven appearance rather than a flat printed look. No performance features are noted for this fabric, so its strongest character is the decorative depth created by the saturated ground and contrasting botanical detail.
How to use it
Use this warm crimson colourway on an accent chair, occasional seat or statement curtain where its blue and green motifs can be echoed in cushions, painted joinery or ceramics. It works particularly well with aged wood and softened, earthy neutrals that temper the intensity of the red.
Use the warm crimson ground as a confident accent with natural timber, olive green or muted blue furnishings.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Benezet Colour 1 without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
