About this fabric

The warm red ground is muted rather than bright, with dusty rose and earthy terracotta depth that gives the colourway an aged, collected character. Pale sage, olive, grey-green and parchment tones pick out palms, flowering plants, trees, riders and horses throughout the dense scenic repeat. The image shows a relatively fine, flat textile surface suited to the flowing treatment of drapery, while the large-scale pattern rewards generous display. No composition, width, rub-test or performance specification has been supplied for this fabric; no performance features are noted.

How to use it

Use this colourway for full-length curtains in a room with aged timber, limewashed walls and woven natural textures. Repeat its soft olive foliage and parchment highlights in cushions or painted joinery, while keeping surrounding colours warm and restrained so the chilli-red scene remains the focus.

A richly detailed scenic textile for curtains, bringing warm chilli red, faded greenery and an old-world garden atmosphere to the room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Persian Wood Chilli without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
