Dunsop Sloe

Stripes Volume 2 FabricDNSPSLOE

Dunsop Sloe presents a closely spaced vertical stripe in pale stone grey, crossed by fine plum-grey lines. The softly irregular woven surface gives the colourway a quiet, tactile depth rather than a flat printed finish.

About this fabric

The design is made up of narrow vertical bands, with the darker plum-grey stripes varying subtly against the lighter stone ground. In the photograph, the Sloe colouring reads muted and cool, with a restrained plum cast that becomes more noticeable within the darker lines. Fine, uneven yarn texture is visible across the face, adding a lightly nubby character to the orderly stripe. Its compact repeat and balanced neutral-and-plum palette make it suitable for both tailored upholstery and softly structured window treatments.

How to use it

Use Dunsop Sloe where a room needs a calm grey foundation with a discreet plum accent: it would bring definition to a reading chair, bench or full-length curtain. Echo the darker stripes with muted plum, charcoal or weathered timber details rather than brighter jewel tones.

Use the quiet stone ground and plum-grey striping to bring tailored texture to upholstery, curtains or blinds.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dunsop Sloe without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
