Misc Fabric

Linen Fringe Charcoal has a deep, cool grey tone and a pronounced tasselled profile. The long, closely packed strands create a soft, tactile edge with subtle tonal variation where the light catches the fibres.

About this fabric

This Andrew Martin trim is shown in a rich charcoal grey, with darker recesses between the tightly gathered strands and slightly lighter highlights across their surface. Its long fringe falls in an irregular line, giving the edge a relaxed sense of movement rather than a sharply uniform finish. The substantial, layered appearance makes it particularly well suited to decorative upholstery details such as pelmets, valances, chair skirts and upholstered borders. The visible texture adds depth without introducing a separate motif or contrasting colour.

How to use it

Use the cool charcoal tone against pale linen, warm ivory or soft grey upholstery to create a considered, tailored contrast. It can also frame a darker chair or sofa when a tonal, textural finish is preferred.

Use this deep charcoal fringe to give upholstered pieces a tailored, decorative finish with added movement at the edge.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
