Mossop Cobalt Fabric

Misc Fabric

Mossop Cobalt is a deep, cool cobalt blue with an almost navy depth across the swatch. Its close horizontal texture keeps the solid colour from appearing flat, revealing softer tonal variation as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

The surface has a dense, finely striated appearance, with narrow horizontal lines and slightly uneven shading visible throughout the blue ground. Near-black navy notes deepen the cobalt tone, giving this colourway an atmospheric, quietly dramatic character rather than a bright electric blue look. The subtle woven grain adds tactile interest while remaining visually restrained and pattern-free. No composition, width or rub-test information has been supplied for this fabric, so suitability should be confirmed against the intended upholstery project.

How to use it

Use Mossop Cobalt on a structured armchair, sofa or headboard where its cool, dark blue tone can act as a strong anchor. Pair it with pale stone neutrals to sharpen the contrast, or layer it with charcoal and ink shades for a deeper, more cocooning scheme.

Use this deep cobalt blue on tailored seating to bring dark, cool colour and subtle woven texture to the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
