About this fabric

The close, even weave gives the surface a fine squared texture, while faint vertical tonal shifts keep the warm plaster-clay ground from reading flat. In this photograph, the shade sits between dusty terracotta and light caramel, with a soft, sun-warmed depth rather than a bright orange cast. No performance features are noted in the supplied specification, so the fabric should be assessed against the intended project before ordering. The textile is catalogued as Fabric in Andrew Martin’s Misc collection.

How to use it

Use this muted clay colour to warm a relaxed sitting room, either on an upholstered chair or sofa with chalky neutrals, natural timber and aged brass. Its softened terracotta depth also works well as a tonal curtain fabric where a room needs warmth without a saturated accent.

Its softly mottled clay tone brings warm, textural calm to upholstery, curtains and layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
