About this fabric

The swatch shows a compact, small-scale geometric structure worked in rich terracotta red, with darker burgundy notes beneath the pattern. Warm ochre and sandy flecks appear throughout the weave, creating a softly mottled effect rather than a flat block colour. Its densely constructed surface reads as a hard-wearing upholstery textile, with enough pattern definition to add interest while retaining an overall tailored look. Viewed closely, the tiny repeated forms give the fabric a rhythmic texture and gently varied light response.

How to use it

Use Tomette on a reading chair, dining seat or compact sofa where its deep terracotta tone can anchor warmer timber, walnut and aged brass. Balance the patterned weave with plain textiles in cream, tobacco or muted olive.

A tightly woven terracotta textile with ochre flecks, bringing warm pattern and tailored texture to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Trinidad - Tomette without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
