Valence Oyster

Caversham Collection FabricVALENCE

Valence Oyster has a quiet, pale oyster-grey ground lifted by a flowing ivory geometric line pattern. The overall effect is soft and airy, with the motif reading clearly without feeling high contrast.

About this fabric

From the Caversham Collection by Ashley Wilde, Valence Oyster is a 100% polyester fabric made for drapes only. The cloth has a gentle, lightly structured handle that suits the repeating abstract linework, while the 140cm width gives useful coverage for window dressing. Its 25cm vertical repeat and 22cm horizontal repeat create a balanced rhythm across the surface, and the 225gsm weight helps the design hang with a neat, tailored feel. In this colourway the grey base looks cool and muted, with the pale pattern lines sitting almost chalk-like against it.

How to use it

Use it for curtains in a scheme built around soft whites, dove greys and pale wood, where the oyster tone can keep the room feeling calm. It also works well in contemporary spaces that need pattern without heaviness, especially on large windows.

A calm oyster grey that keeps the abstract motif crisp and understated.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
