Zola Shell

Nuala Fabric

Zola Shell has a softly warm shell ground crossed by broken charcoal chevrons, giving the surface a graphic rhythm without a harsh overall contrast. Its visibly textured weave adds subtle tonal variation across the pale base.

About this fabric

The design is built from repeating V-shaped marks, with some chevrons appearing crisp and dark while others dissolve into the shell-coloured ground. The warm cream-pink tone gives the pattern a gentler, more muted character than a stark black-and-white geometric. A close, tactile-looking weave is visible throughout the swatch, with darker yarn details catching the eye across each row. This is catalogued as a fabric, and no composition, width, rub test or performance features have been supplied.

How to use it

Pair Zola Shell with warm ivory, pale oak and charcoal accents to echo its soft shell ground and broken dark geometry. Its restrained contrast would suit a tailored occasional chair, coordinating cushions or simple curtains.

Use the warm shell ground to soften the contrast of its charcoal chevrons on seating, cushions or relaxed window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
