About this fabric

Karina Ebony is a substantial dark woven with a charcoal-black ground and fine brown-grey threads that break up the surface into irregular crosshatching. The close texture gives the shade depth: it reads almost black in the darker areas, while the weave catches lighter flecks across the face. At 400gsm and 142cm usable width, it has the visual substance suited to upholstery. With zero vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, it can be cut without aligning a motif; the standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use this ebony shade to give a chair, sofa or headboard a grounded, tailored look, particularly alongside warm timber, aged metal or softly contrasting neutral textiles. Its near-black tone adds depth without appearing completely flat because of the brown-grey texture within the weave.

A substantial ebony-black woven with subtle brown-grey variation, well suited to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
