About this fabric

The close-up shows oversized flowers and leaves in saturated orange, warm ochre and powder blue, with a dark insect motif at the left edge and berry-red detail around the central grey flower. Fine horizontal texture is visible across the pale fabric ground, softening the crisp outlines of the botanical design. This 220 gsm fabric has a usable width of 138 cm and a substantial 64 cm vertical by 68 cm horizontal pattern repeat. Its versatile mid-weight makes it suitable for both upholstery and drapery, especially where the large-scale motif can be displayed clearly.

How to use it

Pair Lotus Spice with chalky whites, warm natural timber and muted grey upholstery to balance its energetic orange flowers. Echo the blue edging or berry-red accents through small cushions and accessories rather than competing patterns.

Use the warm orange and ochre grounds to enliven pale upholstery, blinds or full-length curtains, with blue and berry accents echoed sparingly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
