Gabrielle Kingfisher is a dense woven textile with a cool, muted blue ground crossed by softly broken bands of rust, taupe and charcoal. Its finely grained surface gives the colourway a layered, gently weathered appearance.

About this fabric

The 468 gsm construction has a substantial woven handle suited to upholstery, with the close crossweave clearly visible across the swatch. Kingfisher blue appears in cool horizontal passages, softened by dusty terracotta, brown-grey and pale taupe threads rather than a single flat colour. The design has a 19.5 cm vertical pattern repeat and no horizontal repeat, allowing the tonal striping to run continuously across the 138 cm usable width. A standard length is 30 m.

How to use it

Use Gabrielle Kingfisher on a statement chair, sofa or headboard where its cool blue and muted rust bands can sit against warm timber, charcoal or soft taupe. The varied horizontal colour movement also works well with plain cushions in either the blue or weathered terracotta tones.

Use the cool blue and weathered rust tones to bring depth to contemporary upholstery, especially alongside charcoal, taupe or aged timber.
