Mode FabricCCF0449-03

Pierre Charcoal has a warm taupe-brown ground threaded with fine charcoal, ivory and pale grey marks. Its close, irregular weave gives the surface a softly mottled appearance rather than a defined motif.

About this fabric

This substantial woven textile has a usable width of 137 cm and a weight of 468 gsm, making it particularly suited to upholstery. The charcoal flecks temper the warm taupe base, while lighter threads catch across the surface to create a dry, gently broken texture. No pattern repeat is recorded vertically or horizontally, consistent with the all-over woven appearance visible here. Pierre Charcoal reads as a relaxed, earthy neutral with enough tonal variation to add depth without introducing a separate pattern.

How to use it

Use Pierre Charcoal on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its warm taupe depth can soften darker timber and charcoal accents. Its fine, irregular weave also works well with ivory boucle, aged leather and other tactile neutrals.

The warm taupe ground and charcoal flecks bring softly layered texture to upholstered seating, from benches to occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
