Martinique Pewter

Origins FabricCCF0044-04

Martinique Pewter has a deep, muted taupe-grey ground with a warm brown cast that gives the surface more depth than a flat pewter shade. The close-up reveals a fine, even woven texture with a softly tactile, crosshatched appearance.

About this fabric

This is a dense, plain woven upholstery cloth with a subdued taupe-grey tone that shifts gently between brown and charcoal as the light catches the weave. Its fine interlaced surface adds quiet texture without introducing a visible motif or colour contrast. At 418 gsm and 140 cm usable width, Martinique Pewter offers the substantial presence suited to upholstered seating and other hard-wearing interior applications. The vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are both 0 cm, while the standard length is 40 m, allowing the uninterrupted surface to be worked across broad pieces.

How to use it

Use this deep taupe-grey colourway on a sofa, dining chair or headboard where its brown-grey depth can sit comfortably alongside warm timber, stone and aged metal. Its restrained texture also works well as a grounding neutral against lighter upholstery or patterned cushions.

A substantial taupe-grey weave for tailored upholstery with understated texture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
