Mode FabricCCF0441-03
Louis Charcoal has a cool charcoal-grey ground woven with black and pale grey threads, creating a finely checked surface with visible tonal depth. The close texture catches the light softly rather than appearing flat.

About this fabric
The small, regular weave gives Louis Charcoal a restrained basket-like check, with pale threads breaking through the deeper charcoal tone. At 468gsm, its substantial woven handle makes it well suited to upholstery. The pattern repeat measures 1.2cm vertically by 0.9cm horizontally, keeping the surface detail discreet at room scale. It has a 139cm usable width and a 30m standard length.
How to use it
Pair this cool charcoal-grey colourway with pale timber, chalky neutrals or brushed metal for a tailored, quietly modern scheme. Its fine woven variation adds depth to sofas, dining chairs and headboards without introducing a strong contrast.
Use the cool charcoal-grey weave to bring quiet depth to upholstered seating and occasional chairs.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Louis Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
