About this fabric

The close-up shows a quiet crosshatched weave, with fine pale and dark yarns softening the charcoal base rather than forming a flat solid colour. At 308 gsm and 138 cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight for upholstery or drapery. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, confirming the surface is non-directional and plain-woven in appearance. Light catches the raised threads subtly, giving this deep grey colourway measured depth while keeping its overall look calm and tailored.

How to use it

Pair Atmosphere Charcoal with warm timber, chalky walls and textured neutrals to prevent the cool grey from feeling stark. Its restrained weave is well suited to a contemporary sofa, occasional chair or full-length curtain where tonal texture can do the decorative work.

Use this cool charcoal weave to bring understated depth to upholstery, curtains or relaxed contemporary schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
