Cosmopolis Noir

Metropolitan Wallcoverings WallpaperCCW0139-04

Cosmopolis Noir presents a bold architectural rhythm of deep charcoal-black and pale cream vertical bands, sharpened by narrow muted-gold lines. The high-contrast colourway has a dark, tailored presence while the lighter stripes keep the design visually open.

About this fabric

This wallpaper uses broad charcoal-black stripes alternating with broad cream bands, with slim gold-toned lines defining the transitions. In the swatch, the dark sections read almost ink-black, creating a cool, dramatic depth against the softer ivory-cream fields. Cosmopolis Noir has a supplied usable width of 52 cm and a standard length of 10.05 m. Its vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are both listed as 0 cm, supporting straightforward alignment of the uninterrupted stripe layout. The listed weight is 180 gsm.

How to use it

Use Cosmopolis Noir behind a console, in a dining room or as a full-height feature wall where its near-black and cream contrast can be balanced with warm timber, aged brass or simple pale furnishings. The fine gold lines add a restrained lift without softening the colourway’s graphic depth.

Use the near-black, cream and fine gold striping to create a crisp, architectural backdrop.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
