Ribble Valley FabricCCF0051-06

Whitewell Sage pairs a muted sage-olive ground with delicate ivory botanical outlines, creating a softly contrasting floral textile. The fine vertical texture in the ground adds quiet depth beneath the crisp drawn stems and blooms.

About this fabric

The colour reads as a cool, subdued sage with an olive cast rather than a bright garden green, while the ivory-white floral lines keep the design light. Large outlined flowers, curling stems, leaves and smaller bell-like blooms are distributed across the cloth in a flowing botanical repeat. A fine vertical woven texture is visible through the ground, giving the otherwise calm colourway gentle surface variation. At 363 gsm and 134 cm usable width, it is a substantial fabric for upholstery; the pattern repeats every 32 cm vertically and 44.2 cm horizontally.

How to use it

Use Whitewell Sage on a statement armchair, dining seat or upholstered headboard where its softened olive tone can sit comfortably with warm ivory, natural timber and aged brass. Keep surrounding textiles restrained so the ivory floral drawing remains clearly visible against the sage ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
