Chatburn Heather

Ribble Valley FabricCCF0037-02

Chatburn Heather combines broad, softly textured taupe-beige stripes with delicate pale pinstriped bands. Its restrained contrast gives the woven surface a calm, tailored appearance while the vertical layout adds clear architectural direction.

About this fabric

The dominant stripes are a warm, muted taupe beige, separated by slim light bands and finer lines with a subtle blush-grey cast visible in the weave. This is a 270 gsm fabric with a 140 cm usable width, giving the stripe a substantial yet versatile mid-weight presence for upholstery or drapery. The supplied horizontal pattern repeat is 17.5 cm, while the vertical repeat is 0 cm, so the vertical stripe structure can run continuously down the length. A standard 40 m length supports coordinated furnishing projects where the quiet Heather colour and orderly stripe need to be carried across multiple pieces.

How to use it

Pair Chatburn Heather with chalky whites, oatmeal textures and weathered timber to bring out its warm taupe base, or use it against cooler stone shades to emphasise the faint blush-grey pinstripes. The vertical bands are particularly effective on dining chairs, headboards, Roman blinds or full-length curtains.

Use the broad vertical stripes to add gentle height to seating, curtains or blinds while keeping the palette quietly neutral.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
