Golden Lily Embroidery Plum/Denim

William Morris Weaves FabricCCF0763-04

Golden Lily Embroidery in Plum/Denim combines a pale cream ground with curling floral trails in cool denim blue, plum and muted golden yellow. The close, repeating embroidery gives the swatch a richly ornamental finish without losing the lightness of its background.

About this fabric

The pattern is formed from winding stems, stylised leaves and small floral sprays, with plum blossoms and denim-blue foliage standing out against the cream base. Muted gold and olive touches add warmth, while the deeper plum accents give the design definition and a more atmospheric character than a pastel floral. The fabric weighs 375 gsm and has a 130 cm usable width, giving this detailed design a substantial handle for upholstery. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats measure 32.5 cm, creating a clearly ordered rhythm across a larger upholstered surface.

How to use it

Use Plum/Denim on a statement armchair, occasional chair or upholstered headboard where its cream ground can brighten the setting while the cool denim and plum provide depth. Pair it with soft denim, warm ivory and aged brass rather than strong, high-contrast colours to draw out its muted gilded details.

A richly detailed floral embroidery that brings cool plum and denim tones to a cream ground, with softly gilded accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
