About this fabric

This colourway reads as a soft miel gold rather than a bright yellow, so the large flower forms feel sunlit but restrained. The design is supplied as a fabric from the Beaumont collection by Manuel Canovas, with a repeat of V 71cm / H 70cm approx and a width of 140cm approx. Its composition of 29% Cotton, 28% Viscose, 23% Polyester and 20% Linen gives it a textile presence with a slightly crisp, dry finish visible in the swatch. The pale cream background keeps the palette airy, while the warm ochre and caramel stems bring definition and a gentle mid-century richness. It is a versatile decorative cloth that can work across upholstery and drapery applications where a statement floral is wanted.

How to use it

Pair Breteuil Miel with walnut, oak or aged brass for a layered, warm scheme. The soft gold ground also sits well with ivory and stone tones, keeping the room bright rather than heavy.

Use with warm woods and quiet neutrals to let the honey-gold pattern glow.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Breteuil Miel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
