About this fabric

This colourway has a quiet, mottled appearance, with darker teal notes woven through a softened spruce ground so the surface feels calm rather than bright. The cloth is a usable 136cm wide and blends 55% Cotton, 17% Linen, 16% Viscose, 7% Polyamide and 5% Bamboo, which helps explain the natural slub and lightly textured handle visible in the image. With no repeat at approximately 0cm vertically and horizontally, it presents as a straightforward plain weave rather than a directional pattern. The overall effect is smart and tactile, with enough depth in the yarn-dyed look to keep the shade interesting on larger upholstered pieces or relaxed curtains.

How to use it

Use Laurus Spruce to add a cooler, more tailored note to timber furniture, oatmeal upholstery and pale plaster walls. Its muted green-blue depth works especially well where you want colour that feels present but not overpowering.

A restrained spruce tone that feels calm and tailored in either upholstery or soft furnishing schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
