About this fabric
This colourway of Compton has a cool silver-grey ground with pale ivory and hint-of-stone floral detailing, so the pattern stays gentle even at close range. The woven surface shows a subtle diagonal texture that gives the design a tailored, cloth-like finish rather than a flat printed look. It is a broad-width fabric at approximately 142cm wide, with a large repeat of around 74cm vertical and 71cm horizontal, so the flowing floral layout will need careful matching on larger projects. The composition of 64% viscose, 24% cotton, 5% acrylic, 4% polyester and 3% linen gives it a textured decorative handle suited to both curtains and upholstery where a smart, softly traditional look is wanted.
