Aralia Ocean

Hilda FabricL9155-10

Aralia Ocean is a quietly textured plain with a cool, sea-breezy green-blue cast. The linen-rich surface gives it a dry, natural handle and a softly mottled finish that feels calm rather than bright.

About this fabric

Woven in 52% linen, 38% viscose and 10% polyamide, Aralia Ocean has the pared-back character of a linen blend with a smoother, slightly refined touch. The swatch reads as a muted seafoam teal with greyed undertones, so the colour feels fresh but subdued rather than saturated. Its plain, no-repeat surface keeps the focus on the subtle slub and the gentle variation in the weave. At 140cm wide and with no visible pattern repeat, it is an easy specification for tailored upholstery or soft window dressings. The overall effect is light, coastal and restrained, with enough texture to stop the colour from feeling flat.

How to use it

Pair this cool ocean tone with pale oak, chalk white and brushed nickel for a relaxed scheme, or use it on an armchair to soften rooms with harder architectural lines. It also works well as a curtain fabric where the muted teal can filter daylight without feeling heavy.

Use this cool seafoam tone to bring a calm, airy note to clean-lined upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
