Otto Ticking Stripe Red

Otto Indoor-Outdoor OutdoorJ0290-07

Otto Ticking Stripe Red shows a tight, upright ticking stripe with a soft brick-red rhythm against a pale ground. The narrow repeat gives the fabric a neat, tailored feel while the colour keeps it warm rather than stark.

About this fabric

This outdoor fabric from Jane Churchill is woven in 100% Solu Dyed Polyester, giving the small-scale stripe a practical finish suited to exterior use. The design has a vertical pinstripe look with a horizontal repeat of around 2cm and a width of approximately 142cm. In this colourway, the red reads as muted brick and terracotta rather than a bright primary, so the overall effect is crisp but understated. The fine woven texture and close stripe spacing make it feel smart, orderly and easy to pair with plains or natural textures.

How to use it

Use it on outdoor dining chairs, bench cushions or tailored scatter cushions where the narrow red stripe will add definition without overwhelming the scheme. It also works well with warm white, sand or weathered timber for a relaxed coastal or courtyard look.

Use for crisp outdoor cushions or simple blinds where the fine stripe can read cleanly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
