Escher Gold

Rousseau - Atmosphere VIII FabricJ0167-01

Escher Gold shows a layered chevron pattern in soft antique gold, lifted by a pale ground and a fine ribbed weave. The repeat reads clearly across the cloth, giving the design a crisp, graphic rhythm.

About this fabric

Woven in a 49% cotton, 36% viscose and 15% polyester blend, Escher Gold has a dry, tailored handle with enough body to work for both upholstery and drapery. The colourway pairs muted gold with creamy beige and gentle grey undertones, so the pattern feels warm rather than brash. Its vertical and horizontal repeat of approx. V 39cm and H 43cm gives the chevron motif a measured, architectural scale. The 129cm approx. width and √BM fire code make it a practical decorating choice for statement seating, cushions or full-length curtains.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern with a softer metallic warmth, such as an armchair, banquette or lined curtains in a light-filled room. The antique-gold tone sits especially well with oak, plaster pinks and chalky neutrals.

A warm geometric fabric that brings a refined glow to upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
