Fortunei Teal/Copper

Rousseau - Atmosphere VIII FabricJ0166-01

Fortunei Teal/Copper pairs a cool teal ground with a rhythmic scattered motif in copper-red and touches of lighter metallic-like detail. The result is crisp and graphic, with the pattern standing clearly away from the background.

About this fabric

This Jane Churchill fabric from the Rousseau - Atmosphere VIII collection has a distinct woven look, with a smooth matt ground that lets the motif read sharply across the surface. The design is supplied at an approximate width of 129cm, with a repeat of V 39cm / H 43cm, and is composed of 34% Cotton, 31% Linen, 23% Viscose and 12% Polyester. In this colourway, the teal background feels muted rather than bright, which gives the copper-red palm-like forms a warm, lively contrast. The overall effect is decorative but controlled, making the fabric feel structured and contemporary rather than overly ornate. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact quality.

How to use it

Use it where the teal can act as a calm backdrop and the copper motif can bring movement, such as statement cushions, occasional chairs or relaxed curtains. It works especially well with tan leather, warm oak and brushed brass, which pick up the warmer notes in the pattern.

The cool teal ground lets the copper-red motif stand out crisply for a tailored, decorative finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
