About this fabric

This colourway is printed on a 60% linen, 30% cotton and 10% polyamide cloth, giving the surface a softly textured, natural look with enough body for flexible use. The repeat is large and rhythmic at approximately V 63cm and H 70cm, which helps the scattered foliage read as a full trailing design rather than a small spot pattern. In Midnight, the ground sits in a deep blue-green that feels cool and richly shaded, while the leaves lift in sage, aqua and muted gold tones. At approximately 140cm wide, it works well for statement curtains as well as upholstered accents where the bold leaf pattern can be properly shown.

How to use it

Pair Evangeline Midnight with walnut, dark bronze and inky painted finishes to bring out its cool teal depth. It also sits well with pale stone or chalky neutrals if you want the leaf detail to stand forward.

Use with warm wood and brass for a rich, layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
