About this fabric

The weave combines light grey ground tones with darker charcoal flecks, creating a small-scale, softly irregular texture that changes subtly as the light catches the pile. Made from 84% polyester and 16% recycled cotton, this 138cm-wide chenille is rated for domestic upholstery. It has Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy and is machine washable for practical everyday care. The restrained grey palette gives the cloth a cool, composed character while the textured surface prevents it from looking stark.

How to use it

Use ALT4239 on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its cool silver-grey tone can balance warm timber, black accents and deeper charcoal furnishings. The fine mottling is especially effective when paired with quieter plains in ivory, stone or slate.

A cool, finely mottled grey chenille that brings subtle woven depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
