About this fabric

This chenille is composed of 84% polyester and 16% recycled cotton, with a 138cm width for practical upholstery applications. The close weave combines pale threads with short charcoal marks, producing a small-scale, almost salt-and-pepper texture rather than a formal printed motif. Light catches the raised chenille surface unevenly, adding gentle depth while keeping the overall impression cool and understated. Rated for domestic upholstery and machine washable, ALT4244 also has domestic cigarette and match flame retardancy.

How to use it

Use this pale grey and charcoal colourway on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its fine mottling can soften clean-lined forms. Pair it with warm timber, chalky walls and deeper charcoal accents to draw out the contrast in the weave.

A softly mottled grey chenille that brings quiet depth to domestic upholstery without overpowering surrounding furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
